As a licensed psychotherapist, I take an empathetic, holistic approach to therapy by considering all facets of your life that contribute to your unique perspective and experience. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental environment in which to set goals, identify and process emotions, learn and practice healthy communication skills, deepen insight, expand your sense of self, and affect positive change in your life.
We will collaborate and tailor your therapy sessions to fit your individual needs; I have experience working with individuals, couples, and groups on issues such as stress, depression, anxiety, relationships, adjustment disorders, self-esteem, and trauma. I have a warm, practical style and am particularly oriented to helping you adjust to life-changing events such as births, deaths, marriages, divorces, and career changes.
I also specialize in serving clients who work in the entertainment industry. With a comprehensive understanding of the field, I provide a discreet and supportive space where you can seek help with the unique stressors and difficulties that often accompany a career in entertainment.
I look forward to hearing your story and helping you find your path. Please call with any questions or to schedule a consultation.
Services and Rates
I provide individual therapy for adults and adolescents, couples therapy, and family therapy. Talk therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes long and in person, though please note that at this time due to the COVID-19 pandemic I am offering tele-therapy only. Please contact me with any questions or concerns about remote therapy and how it can be helpful for you.
Cost is $250+ per 50 minute session. I accept cash, check, and credit cards and can offer reduced rates on a limited basis for those with limited income. Please feel free to inquire.
Insurance
I do not currently accept any insurance plans, however I can provide you with a superbill (an itemized statement) to submit for possible reimbursement from your insurance company. I am unable to guarantee reimbursement and encourage you to contact your insurance provider to verify your mental health benefits.
Cancellation Policy
In order to provide availability to clients in need, cancellations require at least a 24 hour notice. If you miss or cancel an appointment within the 24 hour window, you will be responsible for the full fee.
Confidentiality
I value and prioritize your trust, and I handle any information shared with me with the utmost discretion. I am happy to discuss confidentiality in greater detail during our consultation. In general, our sessions are completely confidential except under the following circumstances:
1. There is suspected abuse of a child, elder, or dependent adult, which I am required by law to report to the appropriate authorities.
2. A client makes threats of serious bodily harm to another person(s), which I am required to report to police and inform the intended victim.
3. A client intends to harm themselves, in which case I will first attempt to collaborate on a plan to ensure safety. If a client is unwilling or unable to complete a safety plan, I may be required to notify authorities to seek hospitalization or to contact family members who can ensure the client’s protection.
4. If a court of law issues a subpoena, I may be required to disclose some information discussed in therapy.
